The entire Whitehead Light Station facility is being offered for rent by the week between June and October. Please visit our calendar for current availability. A seven-bedroom Lightkeeper's house on 11.1 acres. All bedrooms have their own private bathroom. The house also includes two sitting rooms, a library, a dining room, and a full kitchen. All linens are provided.
You will be picked up on the mainland by the Whitehead Light Station captain in one of the Whitehead Light Station boats. The captain will live at the Station to help you enjoy your stay and will be available to take small groups on outings in the boat and on trips to the mainland as you require.
Spend time on the granite shore watching the sailing traffic.
Enjoy the moss-carpeted spruce woods.
Swim off the float (if you are very hardy).
Visit other local islands.
Watch birds and seals.
Buy lobsters from a local lobsterman and cook them out on the rocks.
with a book outdoors in one of the Light Station's many Adirondack
chairs or indoors in our comfortable library and sitting rooms.
